Virtual Posters

(Poster, NOT oral presentation)

The virtual posters will be presented on the Discord platform during the course of the event (May 6-14). However, the exhibition will be held in parallel sessions, where several posters will be exhibited simultaneously during the four days of the symposium (May 6-7 and 13-14). In these sessions, each speaker will have one hour to present their work to the people who attend their session. However, as the sessions are continuously available, exhibitors may take longer than the established time, if they wish.

I. Logistics
The sessions will consist of audio channels (or “audio chat”) dedicated to each poster. The presenter will be able to visually share their poster (share screen) and interact with the attendees by voice. For this reason, it is recommended that the presenters have a microphone. In case of having technical difficulties, please contact the logistics committee. Invitations with access to the platform will be sent days before the event.
Important: days prior to the presentations, test sessions will be held on the platform for those who request it. If this is your case, please write an email with the subject "Discord essay request" to the email 2dosibermirmeco@gmail.com, please specify the title of your talk in the body of the message.

II. Format
The poster must be be in PDF format and have a total size of les tan 50 mb.
In regards to style, we recommend the following options:
 

Option 1: classic poster (one-length). Both text and graphics must be legible.

Option 2: The poster will be divided into a set of slides with dimensions of 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio. A maximum of 5 slides is recommended with the following sections: 1st slide = title, authors and their affiliation; 2nd slide = introduction; 3rd slide = materials and methods; 4th slide - results; 5th slide = discussion and conclusions. If you choose this option, you must take into account that the poster will be shared in a single body image.

 

 

 

 

 

A template will be sent for each of these 2 options.
Important: The poster must be sent by May 4 to the email 2dosibermirmeco@gmail.com with the subject "PDF poster", please specify the title of your talk in the body of the message.

III. Platform
Discord works in any browser without the need to install any software. However, there is an application available for mobile devices and computers.
